China National Quality Survey and Test Center for Explosion Protected Electrical Products (CQST) is a nationally accredited institution authorized by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA). CQST holds multiple authorizations:

  • Designated laboratory for China's CCC Compulsory Product Certification
  • Validation testing body for import/export explosion protected electrical products accredited by the National Accreditation Committee for Import and Export Commodity Inspection Laboratories
  • Marine explosion protected electrical product testing laboratory recognized by China Classification Society (CCS)
  • NVLAP-certified Motor Efficiency Laboratory (Lab Code: 200609-0) by the U.S. Department of Energy
  • IECEx International Laboratory

Services and Capabilities

CQST conducts explosion protected performance review and testing for products including Ex motors, electrical apparatus, lighting fixtures, instruments, communication devices, transport vehicles, and mechanical equipment (for example, Ex elevators, cranes) in accordance with China’s GB/T3836 series standards. It issues the Explosion Protection Examination Certificate (China-Ex Certificate).

Additionally, CQST performs tests to the following international standards:
